After the Turn was the first of two custom, reworked paintings developed in response to a specific space. The process began through close consultation, allowing the work to emerge from the existing atmosphere and intention of its surroundings.

An earlier painting was painted over, and the frames were reworked as part of the transformation. The result is a moody, grounding piece shaped by revision rather than replacement — one that anchors the space while setting the tone for its companion work.
